President - Joseph Summer
Joseph Summer is a Junior and he is majoring Management Information Systems Major. He is also getting a New Media Interdisciplinary Certificate in the Journalism school. Joseph is involved in many campus organizations. He serves as the Social Chairman on the executive board of Zeta Beta Tau, and he is also a founding father of ZBT at UGA. He also is the secretary of the New Media Society. Joseph is involved in multiple honor societies such as Alpha Lambda Delta, Delta Epsilon Iota, the National Society for Collegiate Scholars, and the UGA chapter of Golden Key. In his free time, Joseph likes to attend basketball games in a speedo emblazoned with the stars and stripes. Joseph prides himself on his patriotism. He once recited the pledge 110 consecutive times while simultaneously helping 30 older ladies across the street. On his list of priorities, he puts America before breathing
Vice President - Elise Snyder
Elise Snyder is a Second year student from Dunwoody majoring in genetics with a pre med intent. She hopes to go to medical school and become a wonderful surgeon one day. She is a member of Sigma Delta Tau, loves the Giants, ice cream, Jimmy John's sandwiches, baked goods made by Jules, and ENGAGING PEOPLE. Elise also wishes she had a cool accent like Joel and Chloe, and hopes to one day acquire one.
Director of Tzedek (Social Justice and Awareness) - Jessica Jacobs
Jessica Jacobs is a 1st year Early Childhood Education Major from Roswell, GA. She is so excited to be in involved with Hillel at UGA and can’t wait to be a part of bettering UGA and the Athens area. Jessica’s favorite place in the world (besides Hillel at UGA) is Camp Coleman, where she will be a 2nd year counselor this summer. In her spare time Jessica loves reading, travelling, animals, and watching old movies.
Director of Religious Life - Molly Golderman
Molly is a first year Art History and Journalism major from St. Simons Island, Georgia. Her other campus involvements include being a sister of the Sigma Delta Tau sorority, Challah for Hunger, and volunteering at WUOG 90.5FM. Molly loves traveling around the world, reading, and being outside. She is honored to be the Hillel Executive Board and so excited to be involved with Jewish life at UGA, and to help make a difference in the UGA community.
Co Director of Special Events - Adriane Cooper
Adriane Cooper is a second year from Roswell, GA studying Early Childhood Education. Adriane volunteers in one of the local elementary schools, and she also teaches Hebrew to seventh graders and Judaics to Kindergartners at Congregation Children of Israel. She is a member of Sigma Delta Tau and plays the violin! She loves the Green Bay Packers, along with the Atlanta Braves and the Georgia Bulldogs! In her spare time, Adriane likes to spend time with her family, watch Disney movies, read Harry Potter, and go to Block Island! She enjoys leading Shabbat services and is really excited for the opportunity to be on the 2012 Hillel at UGA executive board!
Co Director of Special Events - Shayna Fix
Shayna is a first-year student from Dunwoody, GA. She is majoring in Advertising with a Spanish minor. She is serving as the Co-Director of Special Events for Hillel and is SO excited for this year. Besides Hillel, Shayna is involved with Manna Project International and UGA Miracle. In her free time, she likes to play tennis. She loves the Atlanta Braves (especially B-Mac!) She loves all kinds of music and wants to travel the world, starting with Israel on Birthright and studying abroad in Spain. Shayna loves laughing and talking with new people, so don’t be afraid to chat her up!
Co Director of Engagement - Ilana Gang
Ilana Gang is a 2nd year from Marietta, Ga and is studying Accounting. She is not only involved in Hillel at UGA, but also enjoys participating in several other campus organizations. She plays the alto saxophone in the Redcoat marching band, and enjoys traveling with the band to the Georgia/Florida games and the bowl games. Ilana is also a member of Sigma Delta Tau, for which she serves as the Risk Management Chair. If Ilana had any free time, she would enjoy watching movies, reading magazines, and hanging out with her friends and family. Ilana loves to travel and is hoping to study abroad next year! But first, she is looking forward to a great year as a co-director of engagement for Hillel.
Co Director of Engagement - Katelyn Stanitzke
Katelyn is a freshman and has been involved with Hillel since the first week of school. She is a Mass Media Arts major and is also getting a minor in Spanish. Music has always been her passion. She enjoys singing, playing piano and guitar, and going to concerts. She tries to make the best out of every situation and doesn’t like to waste one minute of her life being bored. Katelyn also loves traveling and has visited numerous places including France, Italy, Switzerland, Las Vegas, and New York City. Her ultimate goals in life are to be happy, to help others, and to live her life to the fullest.
Director of Public Realtions - Rachael Seiden
Rachael is a first year Public Relations major from Johns Creek, Georgia. Her current obsessions are owls, boys, Pinterest, Boys Like Girls, pandas, Israel, Hillel, and more boys. Her greatest ambition is to travel around the world and she hopes to study abroad in Israel, which she first visited in 2010 and fell in love. Rachael’s claim to fame was when she got to go bowling with Gabe Saporta (a fellow Jew) from Cobra Starship. She can’t wait to be on board, and looks forward to the upcoming year!
